Hi my name is Patrick. I made this website to spread the message about Palm Oil. Remember to keep coming back as I continue to add pages and improve my site. If you like this website I am sure you will also like my other website www.patsendangeredanimals.com. Hope you enjoy.
why is palm oil bad 20 square miles of pristine rainforest is chopped and burned every day! WWF says, an area the equivalent size of 300 football fields of rainforest is cleared each hour!

animals affected by itThere are over 300,000 different species of animals that are effected by palm oil! These animals include monkeys, tigers, frogs, apes just to name a few.

about me
I hope I can inspire you!
early life
Ever since I was three I was interested in science. I am passionate about wildlife and saving endangered species. Mum says I have always had a special connection and vibe with animals. I loved watching Paleo World. My dad once said "What three year old watches Paleo World"!
how i am making a difference
I was the first ever Environmental Officer at my primary school. That means I pick up rubbish and take care of the gardens. I even got the school to recycle, compost and to go nude food (lunches can not have plastic packaging)! Before this happened they filled by 30-40 bins a week now they only fill up around 6. I am now working with my high school to become more sustainable.
I have joined the AYCC (Austrailan Youth Climate Coalition). As a member of this group I have signed a petition to help save the Great Barrier Reef! If you want to sign this petition click on the link, www.riskingthereef.org.au. I am educating people through my websites, youtube and social media. At the moment I have only got three websites published but I am making many more. I have also spread the message by appearing on Totally Wild with Ranger Stacey and Planet Ark. It is about getting outside more. To see the episode I am in click on the link, tenplay.com.au/channel-eleven/totally-wild/season-22/episode-57. I have done many public speeches on subjects like how kids can make a difference and environmental sustainability. I am Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's guest blogger. Once a month I will go into the sanctuary and do an interview with one of the keepers there about a conservation initiative they are doing. The interview will be on their website, my website and youtube. This program is aimed at kids and spreading the message to them about some of Australia's most endangered animals and what they can do to help save them. I HAVE RASIED AND DONATED OVER

my goal in life
My goal in life is when I finish Uni is to open "Pat's Wildlife Sanctuary" and make sure there are no animals or plants suffering and that there are no animals or plants that are in threat of extinction. Did you know that only 10% of all the animal species that have ever lived are still alive today.
